FUNetix is a patented, science-based, and simplified way of teaching reading to children, available to parents and children worldwide. The FUNetix 12 Hour Reading App is available in the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon App store. FUNetix is 19 years old, but in some ways, it is more than 2,000 years old. The patented FUNetix Reading Decoding System is rooted in an ancient methodology that shows readers how to see the hidden sounds in every word. It borrows the time-tested method called "diacritics," developed over 2,000 years ago by the Greeks and adopted by Hebrew and Arabic languages, to teach children how to read those languages. This method is now uniquely applied to English in a child-friendly way. FUNetix teaches children to map all 44 sounds of English to the letters and letter combinations that form words, making decoding easier. Here is an opportunity to join the American Youth Literacy Foundation, a volunteer 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2008, dedicated to ensuring all children learn to read by the end of 3rd grade. Our mission is to save millions from illiteracy and promote educational parity by deploying the FUNetix app nationwide. The free FUNetix app helps children learn to read in just 12 hours of total playtime. Millions of children in America struggle with reading, leading to over 10 million illiterate high school dropouts in the past 20 years. But this can change! Since 2008, we have scaled a science-based curriculum to reach thousands of children. During the pandemic, we created an app that takes children from ABCs to 2nd-grade reading levels through narration, animation, and gamification. We are now developing a new smartphone app, the FUNetix ESL app, projected to launch in 2028, aiming to teach English to children at a 3rd-grade level within 40 hours of play. Currently, we seek Hispanic ESL teachers for our paid research and development of the 21ESL prototype app. Teachers will use our alpha prototype to teach Spanish-speaking students English, recording sessions via Google Meet. Compensation is provided for up to 12 hours of participation. Hispanic ESL teachers should be native speakers or highly proficient in Spanish, communicating primarily in Spanish and using English appropriately. This is not full-immersion tutoring.
