Job Description
The Welder Fabricator position at Black Box will consist of following the instruction of your supervisor to complete the following tasks:
• Cutting Walls out of Containers and welding in structural support
• Welding Base Frames and Roof Frames under CWB W47.1
• Welding Floorplate
• Fabricating Wall Assemblies from sheet metal
• Fabricating Door, Vent, and HVAC Structural Supports.
• Installing Wall Assemblies
• Installing Doors and Hinges where required
• Installing Wall Sheeting and Cladding
Welder Fabricators are required to have certain specific skills and qualifications before working on projects. Top Welder Fabricators are active listeners, good at troubleshooting, solving problems, and making decisions. Their skills also include critical thinking, design thinking, and coordination. Other common skills required include:
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature.
• Effective English reading and writing communication skills.
• Ability to operate different tools, and to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift in excess of fifty pounds
