Overview

Our client, a growing hospitality company, is seeking a Human Resources Director to oversee the people function and lead a lean team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, small office environment where tight deadlines are common. This individual will be responsible for driving recruitment and ensuring a strong onboarding experience, overseeing employee relations and compliance programs, managing compensation and benefits, and partnering with managers on performance management, training, and career development.

Responsibilities

  • Drive recruitment and onboarding programs and ensure a positive candidate and new hire experience.
  • Oversee employee relations and compliance programs to minimize risk and maintain policy alignment.
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary planning and program administration.
  • Partner with managers on performance management, training, and career development initiatives.
  • Lead and develop a lean HR team to deliver high-quality HR services in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Proven experience overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and training programs.

Preferences

  • Background in hospitality or service-based industries.
  • HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR.
  • Experience managing compensation and benefits programs.
  • Track record of building employee engagement and retention initiatives.
