Job Description

Seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a K-12 School setting in Maple Valley, WA. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to support students across all grade levels with occupational therapy services tailored to their educational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with licensed occupational therapists and educational staff to implement individualized therapy plans.
• Assist students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities to enhance classroom participation.
• Document student progress and communicate effectively with teachers, therapists, and families.
• Adapt therapeutic activities to meet diverse student needs within the school environment.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of goals and strategies.

Qualifications:

• Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential.
• Experience working with children in school or educational settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Understanding of K-12 educational environments and student needs.
