This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a CAD Designer/Drafter in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and drafting of electrical substation projects, working closely with engineers and experienced drafters. The CAD Designer/Drafter will produce accurate design drawings, follow established drafting standards, and support project development from concept through completion. You’ll gain hands-on experience with industry tools, enhance your technical knowledge, and collaborate in a team-focused, hybrid-remote environment. This position provides room for growth, allowing you to expand your skills and take on more advanced design responsibilities while contributing to high-quality, impactful projects. Attention to detail, adaptability, and a commitment to learning are key to success in this role.

Accountabilities

· Develop substation design drawings using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

· Apply established drafting standards and processes to ensure quality and accuracy.

· Review your own work for completeness and adherence to project requirements.

· Collaborate with engineers and drafters to support project design and development.

· Assist in resolving design challenges through research and problem-solving.

· Maintain documentation and track project materials as needed.

· Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance design quality and efficiency.

· Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.

Requirements

· Associate’s degree in Computer-Aided Design, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· Foundational experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD drafting tools.

· Basic understanding of design principles and electrical substation components (preferred).

· Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn new concepts quickly.

· Effective written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid or remote team environment.

· Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
